Troubleshooting
Bot does not join voice channel
- Open Server Settings > Roles > Afterparty Groovy Music.
- Make sure View Channels and Connect are enabled.
- Open the specific voice channel settings and confirm the bot role is still allowed there.
- Join the voice channel yourself, then run
/joinand/playagain.
Bot joins but no audio plays
- Open Server Settings > Roles > Afterparty Groovy Music and enable Speak.
- In the voice channel user list, check that the bot is not server-muted.
- Run
/stopand then/playto start a fresh playback session. - Try a different song name or direct link in case the original source is unavailable.
Search commands fail
- Try a more specific search, such as song title plus artist.
- Test
/playwith a direct track URL. - If direct URLs work but search does not, it is usually a source lookup issue and not a server permission issue.
Spotify, Apple Music, or SoundCloud links fail
- Test
/playwith a direct YouTube link, then retry the Spotify, Apple Music, or SoundCloud link. - If one source fails but normal playback works, it is usually a source lookup or Lavalink provider issue.
- All normal sources are free. Groovy+ is optional supporter recognition only, so source access is not tied to supporter status.
- Use the Support Server if the same source keeps failing.
Queue behaves unexpectedly
- Run
/queuefirst to confirm the current order. - If the list looks incorrect, run
/clearonce. - Add 1 to 2 tracks and test
/skip,/remove, and/moveagain. - This helps confirm whether the issue is with one old queue item or the full queue.
What to send support
- server name
- command used
- what you expected
- what happened instead
- screenshot of roles or permissions if relevant
