First-Time Setup
1. Invite Guardian Link
Use the official invite button in the header or on the home page.
2. Place the bot role correctly
Open Server Settings -> Roles and drag the Guardian Link role above any roles the bot may need to act on.
3. Choose your mod channels
Create or pick channels for:
- Alert channel: where urgent safety alerts appear
- Log channel: where detailed moderation history is stored
4. Set channels in bot commands
Use your alert/log setup commands from Commands to connect the correct channels.
5. Test moderation flow
Run a test alert command and verify:
- Alert appears in your alert channel
- Detailed info appears in your log channel
- Staff can review the message clearly
6. Enable invite logging (optional but recommended)
Invite logging helps you see join patterns and suspicious invite activity. Turn it on and verify messages are posting in your selected log channel.
Setup Checklist
- Bot role is placed high enough in Server Settings -> Roles
- Alert channel configured and receiving messages
- Log channel configured and receiving detailed records
- Invite logging enabled if your team wants join tracking
- Staff tested one full alert/mod workflow
